In this month’s edition, we’re excited to share the story behind Senathi & Associates Professional Corporation and its Inception! Senathi & Associates Professional Corporation, founded by owner Logan Senathirasa, is a small-medium sized accounting & audit firm serving clients across the GTA. Senathi & Associates provides a range of services: accounting, auditing & bookkeeping, business strategy & advice, business valuations, corporate finance, and expense reduction.

We recently had the chance to catch up with owner Logan Senathirasa, to learn more about what makes Senathi & Associates so exceptional.

Question: Describe your firm to us – how does it fare in the local industry, is it specialized?

Senathi & Associates has been serving members of the GTA for quite some time – nearly over 30 years. Although we are an accounting firm, what makes our identity unique is our branding as public accountants. We’re a fairly mature company, but still consider ourselves in a state of growth. Expanding to reach out to new clients, attempting new marketing initiatives, and expanding our firm size and capabilities are a few new areas of development we are always striving to grow in.

Question: What’s your operational capacity? How do you manage your internal systems to produce your exceptional results?

Our firm and its staff are relatively small, but what we lack for in size we account for in serviceability. Our firm consists of 6 core members with up to 4-5 contract hires depending on the season. Majority of our upper level staff hold both CA and CPA certifications, ensuring a uniform standard of service is achieved throughout all operations.  We are located conveniently in the business park near Fairview mall, at 200 Consumers Road, and operate beyond standard business hours. Our accessibility is one of our greatest assets, as it provides clients further incentive to meet us and develop lasting partnerships.  

Question: What sets you apart from other local firms? Why is Senathi & Associates a great place to work at?

I’d personally say that our current client list is an excellent sample to determine our potential. Unlike other firms who niche themselves towards corporations in one industry, Senathi & Associates has and continues to serve clients of different scales and backgrounds. Ranging from various NPOs such as churches, mosques, condo corporations, and community organizations to other industries such as trucking companies, private vocational schools and numerous professional sSenathi & Associates has been serving clients among a range of 24 unique industries. Moreover, our word of mouth methodology is an effective standout element of our firm. Most of our clients, old and new, interact with us in person and get to develop strong partnerships with our team at the office. Our experienced team of public accountants, strong track record and customer testimonials, as well as a learning prioritized environment stands as the main attractants for young employees to join our team.

Question: Any visions or aspirations for the future?

In terms of short term goals, the firm is undertaking new marketing initiatives to expand our breadth and clientele. Through active social media marketing as well some niche targeted approaches, the firm hopes to access a larger client base in the coming months. In the long run, as our client list gets larger, we hope to move to a larger office and ultimately perform operations at a larger scale.
